The Hobbit

After escaping Gollum / The Trolls

The Hobbit - Bilbo BagginsBilbo Baggins: Look, I know you doubt me, I know you always have. You’re right, I often think of Bag End. I miss my books. And my armchair. My garden. See, that’s where I belong. That’s home. And that’s why I came back, cause you don’t have one. A home. It was taken from you. But I will help you take it back if I can.

In Rivendell

Gandalf: Saruman believes that it is only great power that can hold evil in check. But that is not what I have found; I found it is the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folks, that keeps the darkness at bay. Acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps it is because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.

Wylie Burp to Fievel
"WYLIE BURP: Just remember, Fievel – one man’s sunset is another man’s dawn. I don’t know what’s out there beyond those hills. But if you ride yonder… head up, eyes steady, heart open… I think one day you’ll find that you’re the hero you’ve been looking for."
-- Wylie Burp
