Little Rascals

Dear Darla,
I hate your stinking guts.

Song: Mood Rings

Artist: Relient K

We all know the girls that I am talking about
Well they are time bombs and they are ticking
And the only question’s when they’ll blow up
And they’ll blow up; we know that without a doubt
Cause they’re those girls, yeah you know those girls that let their emotions get the best of them

And I’ve contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
Let’s get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
So we’ll be tipped off to when they’re ticked off
Cause we’ll know just what they’re thinking
Cause what they’re thinking...

She’s so pretty but she but doesn’t always act that way
Her mood’s out swinging on the swing set almost every day
She said to me that she’s so happy it’s depressing
And all I said was someone get that girl a mood ring

If it’s drama you want then look no further
They’re like the real world meets boy meets world meets days of our lives
And it just kills me how they get away with murder
They’ll anger you then bat their eyes; those pretty eyes that watch you sympathize

And I’ve contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
Let’s get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
So we’ll be tipped off to when they’re ticked off
Cause we’ll know just what they’re thinking
Cause what they’re thinking...

She’s so pretty but she but doesn’t always act that way
Her mood’s out swinging on the swing set almost every day
She said to me that she’s so stressed out that it’s soothing
And all I said was someone get that girl a mood ring

Cause when it’s black (it) means watch your back because you’re probably
The last person in the world right now she wants to see
And when it’s blue it means that you should call her up immediately
And ask her out because she’ll most likely agree
And when it’s green it simply means that she is really stressed
And when it’s clear it means she’s completely emotionless (and that’s all right I must confess)

We all know the girls that I am talking about
She liked you wednesday but now it’s friday and she has to wash her hair
And it just figures that we’ll never figure them out
First she’s jekyll and then she’s hyde....at least she makes a lovely pair

Mood ring oh mood ring
Oh tell me will you bring
The key to unlock this mystery
Of girls and their emotions
Play it back in slow motion
So I may understand the complex infrastructure known as the female mind

Revenge of the Sith

Star Wars was AWESOME!

Granted, yes, there were cheesy parts.. but overall, this had such dark parts in it, it was incredible. There were also some really tragic elements that were very artfully done, and some slower moments that helped you to take a breather. Lot's of information, really fast, made it hard to keep up sometimes, and the slower moments helped. I think with a few more viewings, it'll all become much more clear. Heck, we were all able to laugh about the cheese afterward. There's a lot to love in this film, and the music is just one element that was great.. let me just say, right now, that the acting in this Star Wars was MUCH closer to the original trilogy. At the end of this one, I felt a lack of closure, because I wanted more of this story.. and the funny thing is that I can see more of it. I can watch the original trilogy and get the rest of the story any time. I think that's exactly as it should be, at the end of this one. I'm really curious to see how this will effect how I view Darth Vader though. I really feel that while dramatically he was instructed to be a whiny teenager in Episode II, that really did hurt the character arc a bit, as in this one he's getting confused, and we're just watching everyone give up on him, except for one character, and it's the one character that we know is the one we least want him following, and we even want him to turn back, we want someone to reach out to this boy, but his fate is inevitable.

Vin Diesel

The crater in the Yucatan Penninsula was created when Vin Diesel's spaceship ran out of fuel and crashed into the face of the earth.

Vin often eats seven burning tires for a midnight snack.

Vin Diesel discovered his name is an anagram for "The perfect human". Those who were skeptical attempted it and found it was indeed true.

Vin Diesel got so angry at a mountain blocking his path that he punched it as hard as he could. Some of the pieces came back down and are now called Stonehenge. The part that didn't became the moon.

These and more at this site: http://www.4q.cc/vin/

Let the hilarity begin!

Song: I Know

Artist: Seventh Day Slumber
Album: Picking Up The Pieces

Wonder what can be so bad
That it makes you want to die
I wonder what could be so tragic
Makes you want to take your life
You have your Savior on the cross
While you sit on the throne
Put yourself up on that cross
Put your Savior on the throne

And I know it's hard to take what's happening
And I know life is tough sometimes
And I know it seems like there's no hope for you
And I know your life is worth more than you can see

It's hard to see beyond your pain
When you feel so dead inside
It's hard to see what you've been given
It's hard to find the hope in life

And I know it's hard to take what's happening
And I know life is tough sometimes
And I know it seems like there's no hope for you
And I know your life is worth more than you can see

And I say look at Jesus' hands
Those scars are there for you
You know He understands
What you're going through

Another Scrubs Moment

Scrubs 206 My Big Brother
Dr. Cox walks through. He passes Turk, who is waiting for an elevator.

Dr. Cox: [whistles] Let's go, field trip.

Turk: I got things to do, you know.

Still, he follows Dr. Cox.

Dr. Cox: Let me guess, you're off to another funeral. I'll make you a deal -- you come with me right now, and if you're still late for the graveyard, I will personally scour the obituaries with you this weekend and you can just go nuts!

Turk: Carla put you up to this?

Dr. Cox: No, it was my idea. I desperately want to be close with you, I just can't figure out how to connect. Turn around.

Turk gives him a look.

Dr. Cox: [firm] Turn around.

Turk does turn around, and the two look into the observation window of a patient in the I.C.U.

The family is gathered around the bed as Dr. Wen speaks to them.

Dr. Cox: You see Dr. Wen in there? He's explaining to that family that something went wrong and that the patient died. He's gonna tell them what happened, he's gonna say he's sorry, and then he's going back to work. You think anybody else in that room is going back to work today?

That is why we distance ourselves, that's why we make jokes. We don't do it because it's fun -- we do it so we can get by...and sometimes because it's fun. But mostly it's the getting by thing.

Song: When God Ran

Artist: Shaded Red

Almighty God,
The Great I Am
Immoveable Rock,
Omnipotent powerful

Awesome Lord,
Victorious Warrior
Mighty Conquerer,
Commanding King of Kings
And the only time,
the only time I ever saw Him run
Was when

He ran to me,
Took me in His arms, held my head to His chest
And said "My son's come home again".
Looked in my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice
He said "Son, do you know I still love you?"

It caught me by surprise
when God ran

The day I left Home,
I knew I'd broken His heart
I wondered if
Things would ever be the same,

Then one night,
I remembered His love for me
And down that dusty road, ahead I could see
It was the only time,
the only time I ever saw Him run

Was when He ran to me,
Took me in His arms, held my head to His chest
And said "My son's come home again".
Looked in my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice
He said "Son, do you know I still love you?"

It caught me by surprise, It dropped me to my knees

When God ran

Never Alone

I wrote this message for my friend Nick. I felt I would post it here, not for the responses it could get, but for those that may need to read it. I dunno, here you go, out of context and in it's full glory:

Hey man.. I'm going to tell you something: I know EXACTLY what you mean. I have thought the EXACT same things before. But I always come back to the same place. I saw a vision once...a vision of splendor...what couldn't possibly be anything more than a glimpse of the glory of God. The vast amounts of love that I felt surrounding and surging through me, burning through me, in that instant, showed me that there is nothing to fear.. and yet, fear I do, sometimes. Because the vastness of forever is enormous. But then I think about forever and I realize that right now, this moment, is forever. We just labelled it with a moment, or a date or a time. Those that have come and gone before us, the saints, those that are in heaven, they've all been here before, too. We're all in the same boat, though, brother, and we'll all go through the same thing. All we can do, is live for the moment, because in a few seconds, things change forever. A look from a person. A chance meeting. An answered prayer. A smile from a stranger. A smile from a friend. A hug. Love. Love is also a sight unseen. It can be felt, and when you love something so much that you're willing to fight to all the ends for it, you are experiencing the unconditional love of God, a taste of why you were created. To love. To fight for His name, as He fights for you. Man is Everlasting. We were given a very special gift. The very thing that allows us to know God's majesty and infinite goodness. The ability to love one another, unselfishly and to use that to do something incredible. To create life. This is a very powerful and mighty gift that He's placed in our hands. It is in this expression that we glorify His name and His love for us. When I think of heaven, now, I think of a nice park, where people are throwing frisbees, and footballs, and running, and playing, and sitting, and talking, and smiling, and laughing. People from all walks of life, all getting to know one another, and basking in the splendor of God's love in a paradise that is perfect and free from sin. Families and friends are reunited. People have fashioned instruments from the trees there, and sing with the angels. The air is warm with a cool breeze, and truly it is Eden restored...for Eden was created for us, and while we failed the first time, this time there is no chance for that...for Heaven is without temptation toward evil.

You are not alone, my brother!

Homestar Runner

A shout out to my old friend the Homestar Runner for being consistantly funny and the source of much of my comic-relief material for the last 3 or 4 years. I can't believe I've been watching the stuff on that site every week since Strong Bad E-mail #29! Anyway, look at that one, and more! I just wanted to mention it because it's been getting funnier and funnier.

Features to look for:
Marzipan's Answering Machine: Chaos ensues with every new message that she gets!
Teen Girl Squad!: A hilarious look back at the girls from your class. Seriously..every class had these girls.
Strong Bad E-mails: Strong Bad answers a REAL e-mail almost every monday. Hilarity ensues.
Toons, Shorts, Holiday, Puppet Stuff, Powered by The Cheat: The genius continues as the characters are expanded with spinoffs and other things!

It's hard to believe this is all the brainchild of Mike and Matt Chapman, aka the Brothers Chaps. One animates, and the other does all of the voices except for Marzipan, and The Cheat's cartoon voices.

Not only that, but the site is clean, and the animation is better than a lot of what we see on TV these days.
