E3 2009: Nintendo News – Zelda and Studio Ghibli (Part 3)

That didn’t take long at all.  The artwork for the new Legend of Zelda game in the works for Wii has just been released by Nintendo.

Not only that, but Studio Ghibli and Level 5 are working on an RPG for the DS called Ninokuni.  There’s no word on when or if it’ll come stateside, but it is beautiful.

E3 2009: Nintendo News and a bit more (Part 2)

Yesterday I wrote a bit about how I was disappointed with the lack of an announcement for three properties. I had completely forgotten about Pikmin 3, but was reminded about it as Shigeru Miyamoto expressed his sadness that the game was not available to be revealed at this E3. Another game that I mentioned was Zelda.  Miyamoto came through there as well, saying that his team is working very hard on the new Zelda game, and he even brought a painting that represented the game, to show the press there. That’s one of the three. As for Kid Icarus and Donkey Kong? There’s no real mention of Donkey Kong outside of the next Mario vs. Donkey Kong for DS. Kid Icarus, however, has been mentioned in a few articles as people are expecting it will happen one of these days.

E3 2009: Nintendo News (Part 1)

Anybody that knows me at all knows that I’m a pretty big fan of video games. I have played video games since the old Atari and NES. This gives me a perspective on games that I don’t see very often.

Today was Nintendo’s Press Conference at E3. The announcements that were made were not at all bad, though presentation could have been better, the products speak for themselves. I’m just upset about the omission of three properties that I’d love to see make a comeback on Wii.
